I tend to overcomplicate planning. So this time, I’m just considering everything I want to do as a goal —habits, projects, experiments, whatever.

The other problem I have is adjusting the plan all the time. So, I’m posting this list here so it’s set in stone.

I’ll come back to it in November to cross things off ✓

Work

  • Hit 100 ScrambledTech subscribers

  • Create my first data story article (about hackernews.com)

  • Learn about the basics of data engineering (pipelines, feature store, etc) — madewithml.com, applied-ml.com

  • Launch the Wellness project

  • Publish 28 posts on achrafash.com/blog (9/28)

↳ I would need to make writing my main goal if I want to publish daily, but I did try to write daily on Twitter. Next month I’ll try to publish on a weekly basis instead.

  • Complete an ML project

  • Get the dream internship 👀 (going well but not official yet)

  • Post on Linkedin every week (3/5)

  • 2 Deep work sessions per day (1+ hour each)

Wellness

  • Practice breath work daily (4x4 box breathing for 2 minutes)
  • Walk 5k steps daily
  • Jump Rope for 10 minutes
  • Horse stance 1 minute

Religion

  • Learn a new Arabic word every day → set this up

↳ I did download and start using Quran Progress but haven’t made it a consistent habit yet.

  • Learn a new Surah ↳ I did not set this one up (chosing one and deciding when & how).

Others

  • Read 3 books

↳ I read Indistractable and Start at the End, and switching between a bunch of others (Stillness is the Key, The Paradox of Choice, Sam Walton: Made in America, Flow)

  • Slide in the DMs of 3 people (2/3)

I don't have a proper newsletter, but I'll ping you when I release something cool.
